On June 11th, Refresh Events hosted an evening event at the MaRS Discovery District, in conjunction with NetChangeWeek. We had 4 incredible speakers with great stories and great insights, who spoke on various topics like the future of the Internet and social gaming applications for mobile.

We’d like to send a BIG thanks to the SIG @ MaRS team for posting video footage of our event:

Craig Heintzman, World Wide Web Foundation (Keynote)

Darius Bashar, Daily Challenge

Evelyn So, Noesium Consulting

Jeson Patel, socialDeck

Refresh Events is proud to announce that we will be taking part in Net Change Week (June 8-12, 2009).

Net Change is a first-ever collaboration that brings together internationally recognized communities of change makers, social entrepreneurs, digital media professionals and design thinkers for a week-long, city-wide event. Powered by SiG@MaRS, Net Change will demonstrate first-hand, the generation of “social innovation” and Toronto’s leading edge activity.

On Thursday June 11th 2009, Refresh Events will be hosting an evening event at the MaRS Discovery District, and it’s one that is not to be missed. The theme of our event is “Using Technology to Effect Social Change in a Digital Age”. We’ve got a fantastic gathering in the works, and we’re very excited to be part of this incredible event.

We will be announcing our schedule and speakers list shortly, and tickets will be made available soon. Stay tuned for more information!
