MobileMonday Toronto @ MaRS, Monday, November 02, 2009 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm. Mobile is the new frontier for video and film content. With more than 500 million video-capable mobile devices globally, the mobile platform is now the largest video and film distribution platform since the television. This MobileMonday session will explore mobile video and film content from the point of view of both creators and distributors, and will feature a sneak peak 30-minute screening of the world’s best mobile films, provided by MobiFest. Unfinished Business Lecture Series – Nathan Shedroff: Design is the Problem, Thursday, November 05, 2009 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm. It’s no longer possible to develop successful solutions to cultural or climate problems without integrating people, ideas, and techniques from the Design, Business, and Sustainability domains. But, first, we have some reckoning to do with our past. The Unfinished Lecture is a monthly event hosted by the Strategic Innovation Lab at OCAD and sponsored by Torch Partnership. Part of the Unfinished Business initiative, the lectures are intended to generate an open conversation about strategic innovation in the business and design of commercial enterprises and public organizations.
