Yesterday evening, about 150 of Toronto’s social media elite gathered at the Berkeley Church for the latest Third Tuesday Toronto event with Julien Smith, author of “Trust Agents“.

Trust Agents (if you haven’t heard of it) is a New York Times best-seller that has been singled out on Amazon.com as one of the top 10 business and investing books of 2009.

Julien delivered a rousing talk on tribes, community, and social capital. Among one of my favorite quotes from yesterday evening:

“We will never need more advertising. But, we will always need more community.”
