I was talking to Justin’s daughter on the phone a few weeks ago. Rebekkah’s three, and has just reached that marvelous stage when her vocabulary has exploded but she hasn’t developed self-censoring filters yet. She just speaks—or sings—whatever comes to her mind.

When I asked her what she was doing, she said she was walking around the house and looking out the windows. I tried to elicit more conversation out of her but she continued to walk and talk without any direction. It suddenly struck me that to her, you don’t need a reason to have a conversation with someone.
