Michael Burke, AppsSavvy
Social marketing is here to stay, but it has to be looked at through a different lens. The key is that it isn’t about the destination – it is about the people! With that in mind, learn about the contextually-relevant and integrated sponsorship ways to maximize social media marketing from the app-perspective, Facebook Fan Pages and the unexpected viral potential of connecting with people in social media. See examples of how brands and advertisers have leveraged Facebook to drive awareness, engage users and become apart of the conversation.
As co-founder and president of appssavvy, Michael Burke is responsible for developing the organization, hiring and managing the team, and ensuring that appssavvy will continue to deliver the highest level of integrated, contextually-relevant marketing solutions to brand and agency clients and developer and publisher partners.
He started his career as a technology recruiter, learning the fundamental of sales, hiring and customer management. Michael joined HotJobs.com in 1999, opened the Chicago office and grew with the company until it was purchased by Yahoo! in 2001. After 6 years of leading sales teams at Yahoo!, in 2007, Michael joined Chris at Freewebs and quickly recognized the opportunities surrounding widgets and social media applications. Working with traditional brands such as Ford, P&G and Kimberly Clark, Michael proved that the social media revolution was not limited to just teenagers and can be effective for all advertisers.
Michael is also a frequent speaker on social media marketing. Since founding appssavvy in early 2008, he has participated in industry events, including SNAP Summit and Digital Hollywood Fall. Michael graduated from Boston College with a bachelor’s of arts degree in Marketing.
