With winter quickly approaching, we’re looking to hold another workshop in our series, and we’d like to find out from you: which topic(s) are you interested in hearing about? Who would you like to hear from at our monthly gatherings?

We threw out a tweet late last week to get a sense for what you’re looking for, and we got back some interesting topics:

  • Taking online campaigns offline: Creating live experiences
  • Creating an online/offline community
  • Developing your business/marketing plan
  • Transitioning from BAM to the online marketspace
  • Web sites as business development tools
  • Incorporating apps and widgets into your business
  • Personal and professional branding
  • Social media strategies
  • Cause marketing
  • Creating strategic business alliances and why it’s important
  • Small business entrepreneurship

Your suggestions will help guide programming for the coming months. Let us know who you would like to see at our monthly gatherings and workshops! Drop in a comment below, send us an email or 140 characters @RefreshEvents.

jQuery Workshop – Input Needed

Monday, May 18th, 2009 | By: Justin Kozuch

Given the popularity of the jQuery/Prototype gathering we curated back in January ‘09, we are currently putting together a jQuery workshop for later this summer.

However, to get a sense of what people are interested in, we have started a poll to gain your insight into your 9-5, your exposure level to JavaScript, and what this workshop will look like.

Please fill out the poll and let us know what’s on your mind!

iPhone Application Development Workshop – Poll Results

Wednesday, April 8th, 2009 | By: Justin Kozuch

UPDATE: We’ve announced our Introduction to iPhone Application Development workshop. Full details are available here.

A few weeks, ago, we announced a poll looking to get some input on what an iPhone Application Development workshop would look like to you.

We let the poll run for a while to get a decent sampling size, and here are the results:

Poll Results - Interested in iPhone app dev? So are we. If you could attend an iPhone application development workshop, what type of workshop would it be?

Given that developing iPhone applications is still a relatively new skill within our industry, we weren’t very surprised to see that the technical and UX/UI design sides were the top 2 contenders in our poll.

So, given this insight:

If you’re a kick-ass iPhone application developer, or possess expertise in Mobile User Experience/User Interface design, we’d love to talk to you.

Drop us a note at speak@refresh-events.ca with your details and we’ll get right back to you. You can also reach us anytime at 647.236.1925 or http://twitter.com/RefreshEvents.
